Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women owes its creation to the persevering efforts of its founding fathers—Dr. K.N.V Sastri, a noted historian and political thinker, Dr. M.N Mahadevan, a renowned doctor, and Sri. T.S Rajam, chairman of the TVS group of companies.

The farsighted vision of a committed management, supported by a dynamic Director, dedicated principal and a competent team of teaching and non-teaching fraternity has provided a learner-oriented environment. This has earned the institution an A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
